    At Work Side Note

    Wednesday, March 17, 2010, 4:03 PM [General]

So, I'm  at work with the kids. Some of them happen to have no homework;one student said because it's St. Patrick's Day. I wish I could have used that excuse when I was in school.

However, some of the students are very smart, so I put them to the test. For the students who were done with their homework, I asked them to write me a story with these vocabulary words and a title. Mind you, these are 4th-5th graders. Try it for yourself, and post it up here. Let's see how smart you are.

    Vocabulary Words:

salesman, waiter, customer, custodian, stock crew, cashier, helpful, caring, generous, sincere, share, compassion, truthful, admit, learn something, listen carefully, polite, eye contact, weight, length, volume, temperature, distance, time.

Not as easy as you thought, right?

    Earthquake in Venezuela

    Wednesday, March 17, 2010, 12:14 PM [General]

I receieved a number of text messages lastnight about an earthquake hitting Veneczuela of an 8.2 magnitude and a Tsunami Alert to hit Dominican Rep., Haiti, Puerto Rico, Jamacia, Trinidad and Tobago and the Virgin Island, to hit early this morning at 1:14am.

Well, the good news is that was a hoax. There was no earthquake and no tsunami. But however, lets keep those island and countries in our prayers and thoughts.

But I receieved those randoms texts because someone felt the need to share that information, so I share it with you.

    Peace and Blessings.

    Michael Jackson's Furniture

    Friday, March 12, 2010, 4:16 PM [General]

Somehow, someway, the name "Michael Jackson" has yet to escape the house hold conversations. According to Los Angeles Associated Press--the late great, Michael Jackson furniture, which was for his London, England home, will go up for auction.

Los Angeles (AP) reports: Darren Julien of Julien's Auctions says a gilded red velvet sofa that seats nine, a leopard-print chair trimmed with ostrich feathers and a pair of velvet armchairs embroidered with gold eagles are among the offerings.

Some of these items retail price ranges from approximately $100,000 to $300,000. So, if you plan on going to the auction, make sure you have your check book and piggy bank handy.

I had a great time at the audition. Met great people, very nice, pleasant, and professional. Thank you "Ryan" (I put his name in quotes because I called him Rob by mistake) and Desirae. Well, just everyone who was part of this great project...lol.

    Peace, Love, and Prosperity.
